Activities

The Lake House is located in a perfect spot for relaxation and adventure.   In summer, take to the water in one of our three kayaks or pedal boat for a tranquil time on the lake or to view the wildlife. See Loons, Bald Eagles, Mallards, Ducks, Canadian geese, or any number of bird species.   In winter, spend time outdoors in the snow on snowshoes, x-country skis, snowmobile, or on foot.    Then come inside for some warm cocoa or coffee as you relax by the fireplace.

Need a day of hiking?   The Lake House is located two minutes from almost seven miles of newly-signed and blazed trails on Plummers Ridge. The trails, which meander through 400 conserved acres of woodlands and fields and along stream banks, connect the adjacent farms of Branch Hill Farm, McKenzie’s Farm and the New Hampshire Farm Museum.

More strenuous hikes abound all over New Hampshire and the Lake House is located to take advantage of many of these hikes in 60 minutes or less.

Have dinner out at the farm-to-table (and Non-GMO) Tumbledown Tavern just 12 minutes from the lake.  Order a great chef salad, pasta, pizza  or sandwiches for delivery from the Pizza Nook in downtown Milton (free delivery) or fire up the grill or Viking range and have dinner in.

At the end of the day relax in the Jacuzzi tub in your own mini spa off the master bedroom, on the screen porch overlooking the lake and yard, the deck, or one the private balcony off the master bedroom.
